Skye

I chose Joyful dogs because there was link with our dog walker Muddy Buddies.  The 121 sessions with Joyful Dogs have made a huge difference to Skye who is a reactive dog. We learned games and strategies to keep her calm when out walking, meeting people and when visitors arrive at the house. Katie taught me a lot about counter conditioning and that if prepared I can help Skye to see things positively rather than as a threat- we can now walk past individual men and she doesn’t lunge or bark which is great.  Skye is better on lead walks no longer lunging and barking at dogs and people and on off lead walks she is much better at just ignoring dogs, children and people. We can control her behaviour when people come into the house much better now- still work in progress but loads better! Katie is also now working with me in my capacity as a dog groomer which has really helped with a reactive dog in the salon.   I would totally recommend Katie as a Trainer. She is calm and considered and it’s clear she prepares well for every session. She’s made a massive difference to Skye’s reactive nature.
