Rafferty

Joyful Dogs - and the training lives up to the name!  Joy was recommended to us by a colleague who'd trained their puppy as a family and therapy dog.  We booked 7 sessions with Joy.  There are specific techniques and activities that have made a big difference to Rafferty’s development and our learning - such as scentwork "Find it” games; loose lead walking, putting on his harness, coping with distractions, and meeting and greeting other dogs and people in our local park. It has been great to have Joy with us on these outings to learn in situ.  Most of all, we are learning about dog’s communication and the most appropriate way for us to behave to develop a cooperative learning relationship with our puppy.  We are learning to use less words and more body language and gaze,  and also to slow down our movements. We really appreciate the positive attitude towards dog training. It is also really good fun!  We have been able to see Rafferty grow in confidence and ability and he is loving learning with Joy.
