Bailey

Joyful Dogs popped up when I was searching for positive dog trainers for my reactive dog.  The individualised attention that Bailey and I received through our four 1:1 training sessions with Dannyelle allowed us to really focus on our needs.  Dannyelle taught me how to reinforce Bailey at the right time, slowly build up the criteria for rewards and, more importantly, when to step back if the situation was proving to be too challenging for Bailey.  Bailey has made great gains and we will continue practising what we have learned.  I will sign up for more classes with Dannyelle (the best endorsement I can give is the fact that I will work with her again) after we become more secure in the skills we have learned and are ready to move to the next level.  Dannyelle has a nice, calm demeanour and was very patient with me when I made mistakes.  She also was helpful in putting things in perspective if I, or Bailey, were to make a mistake or we were faced with a particularly challenging situation where Bailey reacted to another dog.
